Over the years that the Crolla family spend growing their restaurants, they have never neglected their desire to create a real taste of classic Italy in the heart of Edinburgh. That’s why they’ve forged strong and lasting relationships with the finest artisan food suppliers and wineries throughout Italy. Making regular visits to meet suppliers and review new products and ingredients, the Crolla family have been bringing Italian cuisine like no other to Scottish shores for years.
From delicious spicy salami, cured with chilli and black pepper over six weeks and made from the best cuts of pork leg or shoulder to rich double cream sauces which put cheap béchamel imitations to shame. Classic Italian style egg pasta made from organic eggs and authentic durum wheat sourced from Gragnano to the south of Naples to authentic Bufala Campana and extra virgin olive oil.
While other ingredients and products are sourced more locally, the family is unequivocal in selecting those with the finest provenance, from organic free range chicken from Aberdeen to 28 day hung top- side veal. This all adds up to the best quality traditional Italian menu.
SPECIAL DIETARY REQUIREMENTS?
For customers with dietary allergies or sensitivities. Vittoria makes life easy with a wide range of glu-ten-free, nut free and lactose free dishes, as well as vegetarian dishes. These are clearly indicated on menus. And for additional reassurance, the kitchen brigade place a small Italian flag on gluten free dishes to confirm that the order has been taken correctly.
As a family run restaurant, they also place great emphasis on looking after all ages and the children’s menu features only the freshest ingredients, there are high chairs are available for the little ones, and each child receives a complimentary kids’ pack to keep them entertained.
